The purpose of a digital marketing plan is to implement a Marketing strategy for your organization in order to achieve your marketing objectives.

This includes research, creating buyer’s persona & implementing Channel strategy.

Now let’s talk about the basic structure of Digital marketing plan & discuss them one by one.

The 6 essential elements of an effective Marketing Strategy:

 

1. Competition Analysis:

 

Competition analysis is the most important part of a digital marketing overall strategy. It’s important to do competition analysis of your marketing niche to find out what your competitors are doing; social media channels they use & what keywords they have been ranking for both in Paid and organic search engine results page.

Especially in case of paid search engine marketing campaigns, if they have been bidding on those keywords, they must be profitable for them & if you can leverage those keywords you may get great results for your business too.

 

2. Campaign Objective:

 

So what is your campaign objective?

Your campaign objectives can be to drive more traffic to your website quickly? Or getting more likes & followers on your social media channel.

Thus you need to create a campaign based on your campaign objective.

 

3. Target Audience:

 

The target audience is the people who may be interested in buying your product or services.

In order to get a complete overview & target your audience, firstly, you need to create a buyer’s persona which is a fictional representation of your ideal customer.

 

4. Channel Strategy:

 

Based on your marketing objectives & target audience you need to select what channels (Social media, Google Search Ads or SEO) you are going to utilize to target your prospective customers.
