Social Media is one of the pillars of your business marketing strategy. So, you can’t afford to ignore it.

Whether you want to raise your brand awareness, interact with existing customers or reach your prospective customers, social is the key! ( Key to open the door of success)

If you are wondering how to create and implement an effective social strategy for your brand, keep scrolling!

1. Audit your Social Media –

The very first step is to audit your social media and see where do you currently stand.

Ask yourself the following questions –

What social media channels you are using?

Are they optimized? ( Cover photo, description and links)

Is your content good enough ( Must be Visually appealing)

How are they performing? ( Is your content targeted)

What is your posting strategy? ( Are you posting enough?)

So, this will give you a better idea of where you are currently standing. (It’s time to game up)

2. Buyer’s Persona –

Know your customers first. Know your audience first, then create content to reach them on social media.

To create a buyer’s persona of your target audience, you should be able to answer the following questions.

  • Age
  • Location
  • Job Title
  • Income
  • Pain Points
  • Social Media channel they use

3. Content Planning:

Now, it’s time to do some brainstorming. Think and bring out some creative content ideas. Create a variety of content such as images, videos, stories, articles

And then ask these questions –

  • How many pieces of content do you want to share on your social media channels?
  • What kind of content ( Images, videos, stories, Gifs, articles) do you want to share and on which medium?

Research for the best posting times, When your audience engages the most ( Don’t post at midnight)

The best way to do all the above is by creating a content calendar.

4. SET UP OBJECTIVES

The third step is to create your marketing objectives aligned with your business needs.

What would you want to achieve?

Set your Goals. ( SMART objectives for your business)

Increase the followers on Facebook by x amount of number

Generate 100 leads per Month

Increase the website traffic by 10%

5. Invest in a social media management tool.

You need a tool that can help you post your content on your social media channels at a time you want it to be published. To do that in advance, for increased productivity, you need a social media management tool.

My personal favourite is Promorepublic. I use it almost every day.

6. Analyse the data.

In the end, see the insights to track how your channel is performing. Analyze the content and see if it’s engaging enough. Revise and rework until you don’t get the desired results.
